About Hollow Crowns Press

Hollow Crowns Press is an independent publishing press established in 2026 to support small authors. Hollow Crowns represents stories with dark themes. In fiction, we look for horror, dark fantasy, gothic, dystopian, psychological thrillers—anything unsettling or macabre. In nonfiction, we look for true crime, medical horror, and dark history.

What we do not look for is slice of life, lighthearted romances, or contemporary. At this time, we are not looking for children’s books, Christian nonfiction, or self-help books.

We accept erotica if the genre fits what we’re looking for. We do not currently accept poetry at this time. While we welcome submissions from all authors, we are especially interested in amplifying queer voices, authors of color, and stories that explore marginalized experiences. Hollow Crowns is specifically looking for stories that feel truly unique, have strong narrative voices, and characters with depth.
